Hip hop mogul Pharrell Williams has advised Britney Spears not to worry if she fails to win at this year's MTV VMA awards - because she is too big a star to bother about grabbing any further honors.
The superproducer, who worked with the "Toxic" hitmaker on hit tracks "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Boys," is backing the singer to walk away with a handful of awards at the ceremony on September 7.
Spears is nominated for Best Female and Best Pop Video categories, for her track "Piece of Me."
But Williams has told Spears not to be concerned if fans fail to acknowledge her achievements at the ceremony - insisting she has already made a hugely successful dent in the music industry.
He tells People.com, "She's made her mark with her career. She's super-talented. She's an entertainer."
"I'm not sure (if she will win). I don't even know if it really matters whether she wins or not."

Britney Spears won't be giving us more at the VMAs, at least not this year.
KIIS FM host Ryan Seacrest quoted the singer's manager Larry Rudolph on Monday, saying, "Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year. I'm telling you officially and unequivocally."

Rudolph told Seacrest the Spears is recording her next album, "which is going amazingly well, and was never supposed to perform at that show."
The singer, who is nominated for three VMAs, is still appearing alongside host Russell Brand in TV spots promoting the September 7 show.

Britney Spears sat down with OK! magazine, marking her first interview in some time. The new issue, on newsstands Thursday, includes Britney talking candidly about her kids, her Dad, and the future of her career.

On Sean Preston and Jayden James going into show business: "I'd love them unconditionally if they wanted to," she said. "I'd just as soon they have a more normal childhood.
On Jamie Lynn: "I was shocked a little bit. She's always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling."
On her upcoming album: "I think it is more urban. I'm writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room... This is my best work ever."
On being on the right track on life: "I'm healthy, happy and excited about the future."
On if she cooks and cleans: "I do. Usually the maid and I will cook together. [The boys] love my spaghetti. I get mad if the maid does all the housework. If she takes it all into her own hands, well, what's for me to do? I'm a cleaning fanatic. Dusting is my favorite, and Windex-ing."
On her sons being so into cars: "[We've] watched the Cars movie nine million times!"
On what she's listening to these days: "I really like Rihanna. I think she's great. And the girl Duffy. I think she's amazing. And I like the new Madonna CD. I like Leona Lewis, too."
Her father's take: "God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good," Jamie Spears told the magazine. "If this hadn't happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys."
